Will the lid rust over time?

Does the lid of the pitcher stay on?
We have designed this glass pitcher to have an extra-tight lid so it naturally stays on even while pouring. However, you do have to take note that we already made the fit to be perfect so you just place it on straight and not twist or turn or else it will just fall right off.

Can you stick your hand in the mouth to wash inside with a sponge?
The glass pitcher's mouth measures 3 inches in diameter, but we have included a long cleaning sponge that comes with your package to clean hard to reach areas inside the pitcher.

Can I put this pitcher inside the freezer?
While you can put your glass pitcher in the fridge, we strongly recommend against putting the glass pitcher in the freezer, as water expands to become ice in cold temperatures, thereby pushing against the pitcher's walls which might cause it to break.This is the case for all glass pitchers. We always want the best for our customers, and that is why we include safety precautions in the manual that comes along your package.

Do I need to remove the lid when boiling?
We highly recommend that you remove the lid when boiling in the stovetop or when using it in the microwave. This is to let steam escape from the pitcher when boiling and prevent it from breaking the glass. What is the glass made of?
All of our glass pitchers' materials are made of borosilicate -- the same one that's used in chemical beakers. This way, it is able to withstand extreme temperatures without breaking, and is also perfectly safe to use with food and drinks. Trust me, we at Pykal only come out with products that we ourselves are confident to use in our own kitchens, before releasing them to the public.

Can I boil water using this pitcher?
I'm happy to tell you that YES, you can boil water directly in this pitcher. However, there are a few things you need to take note if you plan on doing that: 1) Make sure not to boil water (wether it's in the stovetop or microwave) with the lid on. Reason being is that the lid will trap the steam inside, causing pressure build up and in turn, causing your pitcher to break, instead of allowing it to evaporate. 2) NEVER store the pitcher in your freezer as this may cause the water to expand when becoming ice and break the glass walls. Pykal only comes out with premium quality products that are designed to last for years of use.

Does this contain any lead?
I'm glad to say that all our products, including our glass pitchers (made of borosilicate) are food grade, lead and BPA free. Can I use the pitcher on ceramic stovetop?
That's a wonderful question! Our glass pitchers are actually compatible to be used with both gas and ceramic stovetops as it's made of borosilicate glass that is more durable and temperature resistant. Just make sure to remove the lid whenever you plan on boiling or heating water in the pitcher, to let the steam evaporate and not get trapped and cause the glass to break.

Is this glass pitcher microwavable?
All of our glass pitchers are stovetop (gas/ceramic only) and microwave-safe, made with borosilicate glass that is food-grade, BPA and lead-free.
One thing to remember though is to always take the lid off when heating or boiling so steam doesn't build the pressure up and break the glass.
