Does your inner layer of food grade stainless steel contain any other metals?
Thanks for your question.
Inside is Surgical grade stainless steel for the part that comes in contact with water.
Base is encapsulated base and composed of 3 metals as shown in picture 4, but that does not come in contact with water because it is encapsulated with 2 layers of Stainless Steel on either side.

Can the whistle be engaged in a non-whistle manner so the kettle does. not whistle when the water boils?
Hi Chris,
This is not possible. There is no possible way to stop the whistle.A customer told us they put a chopstick in the mouth as they do not like a whistle :).
Perhaps this could be an idea.

How do you use the infusers?
Dear Evelyn,
The infusers are for those who love loose leaf tea which they say is really how you should have tea :). What you do is depress the silicon and pull out the Stainless steel cap. Insert inside as many leaves as you like. A couple of pinches is enough for most people unless you like strong tea. Depress the silicon again to insert back the Stainless Steel cap and then simply dip inside a cup of hot water at around 170F or so. Leave it there for a few minutes until the time you have got the desired color for your tea and place it on the side. You can re-use this as many times as you like. They say that the second round taste even better. Note: The infuser is not to be boiled inside the Kettle. Any other questions, please let us know. Pykal Customer Happiness Team -
